Fast Strong Durable
Kwikbuild Cement is proud to introduce KwikRoad to the market. After much research and rigorous testing, KBC have developed a product specific to achieve superior stability across a range of road material types.
Cement, especially when used in conjunction with extenders such as Slagment and Fly ash, is very effective in stabilising a wide range of soils, including granular materials, silts and light clay’s. It is designed to control the plasticity and enhance the strength of various road making materials. By reducing the permeability of the soil, the properties of standard and sub-standard in situ soils are greatly enhanced. This results in a moisture resistant material that is more durable and impervious to leaching over the long term.
KwikRoad is SABS approved and falls under our current SABS specification of a CEM V/A (S-V) 32.5 N and is produced in accordance with SANS 50197 – 1:2013. Cement in the 32.5 strength class is more suitable for stabilisation applications due to it having slower early rate strength development, allowing considerably more time for construction operations and to place and compact the material.
